what to expect

All consultations are free and carried out by a fully qualified laser aesthetician who will discuss with you your requirements and expectations. They will also take your past medical history and talk about any treatments you may be having or have tried in the past, such as waxing and electrolysis.  You will also get the chance to ask questions in regards to the treatment. 

Should you decide that laser treatment is for you, then you will be required to take a test patch prior to the initial treatment. This is done 24 hours prior to the treatment. For hair removal treatments a small area of hair will be shaved and a cool gel placed on the area then the laser will be passed. This gives the laser aesthetician a better understanding of how your skin reacts with the laser.

In order to permanently reduce hair growth you will require a minimum of 6 treatments. For body areas we recommend leaving each treatment approximately 5-6 weeks apart and for facial areas every 4 weeks. This is because the hair growth cycle complete quicker on the face than on the body. You will be advised during your consultation the recommended amount of treatments.

You will be greeted by your laser aesthetician who will take you to the treatment room, where a cool gel, similar to that used during an ultrasound will be placed on the area to be treated. Your modesty is respected at all times during any procedure. The Soho Laser Clinic also uses a Cryo Cooler, which cools the skin during all treatments to -30. Not many clinics in London offer such a device and at no additional costs.
